Week 1

It has now been one week of playing the Wii Fit. One thing that I have noticed is what you eat, how much you eat, and when you eat it can really effect your weight. For example I started last week at 200.6 lbs but during the week went up to 205 lbs. So after one week my weight is almost exactly the same as it was a week ago, but I still lost 4 lbs after I put it on. I think as time goes on, I'll get better with the eating portion of everything. I am excited that my Wii Fit age has dropped to my actual age. At least I can feel that my body is as strong as it should be at this age. I have also noticed that my balance & stamina have gone up already.

Weight: 201.3 lbs
BMI: 26.68
Wii Fit Age: 29

This last week & was having some major pains that held me back a little bit. I'm feeling pretty good right now so it should be a good week. Hopefully I can get under 200 lbs this week!

Initial thoughts

Well, I have had my Wii Fit for one week now. I'll post my progress after I test myself later today. I have to say that I really do like it. It is really fun & working out with the trainers has been helpful.

I have learned that I have almost perfect center of balance. Who would have guessed that after 9 years of having a completely numb leg, I would have perfect balance. I have also found out that I am a "Yoga Master". For some reason I do very well at the yoga positions. Who would have guessed that? I actually did a little yoga a few months ago and found out that I really liked it. I find it very relaxing and a great way to relieve stress.

There is only one con to the Wii Fit that I can think of at this time and it might just be my inexperience with it. It would be nice to have workouts created for you to meet your personal goals. It seems like I am just making it up as I go along, which isn't the most effective way of doing it I'm sure.

Day One

My Wii Fit finally came in the mail yesterday. I was very excited to get it up and running and so were my two boys.

Part of the training is weighing yourself and getting your Body Mass Index (BMI). Here are my stats from day one:

Weight: 200.6 lbs
BMI: 26.69
Wii Fit Age: 42

If you have ever played a Wii, you know that you create your own Mii to represent yourself in many of the games. Wii Fit uses your Mii but after I did the initial weighing, the game plumped up my Mii so now it is fat.

My initial reaction to Wii Fit has been very good. The games are fun, and some are very challenging. Part of the Wii Fit is Yoga & Strength Training which you get a trainer to help you with. Just with the little I have done I have found that that is extremely helpful because they can tell you things to improve the way you are doing the exercise. Unlike doing things on your own, Wii Fit will not let you cheat.
